Expanding access to vital care
for our most vulnerable youth.
It’s within our reach.
and Eating Disorders Recovery

Growing up today is not like in years’ past. Children and teens are under great pressure and their mental health is an increasing concern. Suicide accounts for 25 percent of all deaths in youth aged 15 to 24.
One of the deadliest of all mental illnesses is eating disorders. The mortality rate for people with anorexia nervosa is between 10 and 15 percent. While research, education, and accessible care for adolescent eating disorders remain scarce.
Under the leadership of Dr. Neal Anzai, a world-renowned expert in adolescent mental health care and eating disorders, Ontario Shores is transforming its adolescent and eating disorders services to ensure effective, sustained treatment and recovery across the continuum of care for these vulnerable youth.
